Sports Coaching (scqf 6)

The SVQ in Sports Coaching at SCQF level 6 enables learners to demonstrate competence in job-related skills. It covers planning, delivering, and reviewing sports coaching sessions, ensuring the health, safety, welfare, and security of participants and staff, and addressing concerns about safeguarding issues. Additionally, it involves supporting participants with disabilities and instructing children in health-related exercise and physical activity. This qualification is jointly awarded with the SkillsActive sector skills council to ensure sector relevance.
